Mountainstown welcomes enquiries from film, television, editorial and photography teams looking for a distinctive country house setting. The house’s period proportions, decorative plasterwork, staircase and individually furnished rooms offer a varied starting point for a location conversation.

Colour, books, paintings and architectural detail give the interiors a lived-in depth. The grounds, courtyard and stable buildings may also be relevant to a production brief; any areas required for filming, crew activity or support spaces are considered and agreed during planning.

Tell us about the production

An initial enquiry should include the production type, proposed shoot dates, preparation and strike days, estimated crew size and a short description of the scenes or images you hope to create. Reference imagery can help explain the atmosphere and rooms you are looking for.

Please also outline requirements for vehicles, parking, power, lighting, sound, equipment, holding areas and any changes to furnishings or room arrangements. These details allow the estate team to assess the suitability of the location and plan a useful recce.

Plan a considered visit

The house is a historic setting, so movement of objects, protection of surfaces and the way equipment is brought into rooms need to be agreed in advance. Location fees, permitted areas, working hours, insurance requirements and any accommodation are confirmed directly with the estate.
